Dear Anonymous

Dear Anonymous:

Thank you so much for your interest in my blog. I appreciate that you think I have an attractive section of content. How fascinating that you "stumbled upon [my] site an in accession capital to assert that [you] aquire actually enjoyed account of [my] blog posts." So glad to hear you'll be subscribing to my argument. That's a blogging win, for sure. I however, cannot subscribe to your argument, because it's gibberish.

Yes, Blogger does use WYSIWYG editors, but you can manually code with HTML if you want. I'm so glad you reached out to me personally, as someone who has experience. It would be silly to open up Blogger and look for yourself. Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on checking out your web page, "sex 4chan." Not my style, hope you're not offended.

You sure do have some other fascinating web logs, though. Now I know where to look if I want to know about a 50 Inch Vertical Program, software für handys findet man hier, or tennis elbow secrets revealed.

Thanks a ton,
Becky

Some of these spam comments are just so ridiculous, I have to laugh. Who knew my Junk food detox post would be like spambot catnip? I get like 3 new ones a day, which is always such a tease because for a sec, I get my hopes up that it's a real comment. The good new is at least they're not actual hateful people posting as anonymous just to insult me (yet)!

  1. I get these too and like you get excited for that split second that someone actually liked my blog post enough to leave a comment! haha

  2. This happens to me all the time! Like 30 a day. I really hate it! Is there anything we can do?

    1. Wow, you've got me beat by a mile with that many!! :( Short of turning on word verification (which I don't want to do personally because I want to make commenting as easy as possible), I don't know if there's anything we can do to prevent it.

  3. You're so good- I don't even bother to look at my spam section! It's ALWAYS nonsense. :)
Also, Wordpress is great at filtering the spam, I've never had one actually "go through." Probably because it's easier for spambots to get a google account?
    Who knows.
    xoxo

    1. I have email notifications for all comments, so I see them there and know to go delete them from blogger's spam comments folder. Thankfully, I don't think any have ever been published--so far, blogger has been good about filtering them :)
