Although unlike that other terrible terrible time, I was warned (by Aidan) of his presence while I was safely inside. He was definitely sluggish, but it's not long before he's ready to party and bite my toes off or strangle my neck. (What? That's not what "harmless" black snakes do? Tell that to my nightmares, and the fact that we definitely have copperheads lurking as well.)
Maybe I need to adopt a honey badger? ☺
