Last Sunday morning I caught Lorelai "calling" people on the phone. Usually when I get the camera out to record her, she devolves into a mess of gibberish and potty talk (see? what's that all about?!) but this time, I actually caught what looks to be a very in-depth conversation with grandma. Note that she's not really talking to anyone--she likes to play with our old phone.
I always forget to turn my phone to landscape when I record, gah!
And then she decided to call her cousin Luca, who lives in Atlanta (and apparently yell at her? ha!). I love how she's swiping the phone like it's a smartphone. :)

My Christmas shopping was D.O.N.E as of Thursday, about half of the presents are wrapped, we've baked cookies, and I'm actually sitting on the couch sipping coffee (creamed with eggnog, yes!) and relaxing while the kids watch Rudolph.
I even painted Lorelai's nails for the first time. Festive sparkles "like a princess" to match my nails. Clearly I'm totally winning at Christmas this year. :)

Ever since I got sick a few weeks ago with a nasty stomach bug, Lorelai asks me daily if I'm all better. Sweet girl :)And as always, I apologize for the mommy voice behind the camera. She wanted to single Jingle Bells for daddy since he was out of town, but got camera shy as soon as I got my phone out.
Last night during dinner, we were discussing what day it was (because TGIF!). Lorelai insisted it was Monday, and started yelling at us that "IT'S MON DAY!" Of course as soon as I got the video camera out, she got all polite about it. One of these days I'm going to capture her patented yells on video. She can be very insistent about things.
Then this afternoon during lunch, she just started giggling like crazy and being all kinds of silly back to Logan, who was making crazy eyes at her. I knew Logan was a funny guy, but who knew he was that funny?!
I've got laryngitis and a case of the Mondays after an awesome weekend, but Lorelai and Logan sure don't! Throwing the ball around with Logan was the funniest thing in the world this afternoon, my sweet girl was laughing like crazy. Logan just loves to make her laugh.
Excuse my voice and the awkward angle/cut off heads. It's hard to record when you're holding the flip out away from your body while trying to record someone on your lap, duh.
And while I'm sharing videos, here's a gem from our impromtu dance party last Thursday. Every time "I'm Sexy and I Know It" comes on, all of the kids bust out some smooth dance moves. Oh, and they took their shirts off when the song came on, too. I only wish I had captured their dancing from the beginning. I missed the part where they were twirling them around in the air. Trust me, it was awesome. And slighly inappropriate. But mostly awesome.
